The Hacienda was a Manchester England nightclub & music venue that opened in 1982 and hoisted acts such as New Order, The Smiths, James, & The Stone Roses. In addition, the club is credited for bringing acid house & rave to the UK club scene. In constant financial trouble and even though supported by record sales from the band New Order, The Hacienda closed its doors in 1997.
