One of the most celebrated DJs, John Peel was Radio 1’s longest running on air personality from 1967 until his death in 2004. If no one else would take a chance on a band or artist, John Peel would… including taking a chance on David Bowie. His “Peel Sessions” usually featured four live in-studio songs by artists, which gave fans unique versions of their inevitable favorite tracks.
