The following is some recommended reading for information on the “Religious Freedom Restoration Act.” This insidious bill is making its rounds in the States. Although the state-to-state bill sweeps are notably ALEC, they claim no responsibility or involvement in the bill. Uh huh. It would appear anti-gay lobbyists and ultra conservative, base-pleasing representatives are responsible. Still, one chooses their religion. People do not choose their color, gender or sexual orientation. Church-blamed or sanctioned bigotry is still nasty ole bigotry.
